I bought my buyer to see this unit and it is marketed by two agents. So there is no exclusive. I decided not to go through the agent. Any way to get the owner's contact number if I know the unit number?

Sam,

Since you know the unit number, why do you still want the contact number? If you want to undercut your cobroke agent, go ahead and knock on the door of the unit and talk to the owner directly. Do you think the owner will trust you to close the deal for him or her by undercutting? Unless this owner also has moral issues, otherwise I believe your actions will be fruitless.

Be a gentleman, if you have an offer, go through the cobroke agent whom you have seen the unit with. Read More

Hi Sam,

Be a man and do the right thing.
We are all trying very hard to maintain professionalism and to upkeep real estate agent's good name.
It is already not easy when we are constantly being scrutinise by the public and even more by CEA.

What will you feel if other agents does that to you?

Hi Sam,

Piece of advice, if you want to stay long in this industry, you will have to do what is right.

Close with the cobroke and do not tarnish your reputation just for a few extras..

All the agents have a "little black book" in our mobile and i am sure that you realise singapore is really just a small little red dot. I enjoy great relationships with all my fellow co broke and they have brought me more business than what i can do so myself.

I’m Not an agent. Please tell me what is the benefit for buyers to go through cobroke agent and not directly to agent of owner.

If you view a property with a co-broke agent and by-pass him...I have a very low opinion about you and your professionalism.

If your manager told you to close direct, he must be so desperate. I am sad for you to report and learn from such manager. Some agencies are on my blacklist because they have many such agents. If you are with one of such agency, professional agent may not want to co-broke with you. Get out while you can.

You have chosen the right industry for a long term, never need to retire career. However, with improper coaching, you will not survive long enough to see your pot of gold. Cheater don't prosper.

Quick, go find a professional manager who will teach you the right way to do business.
