Thinking of investing but getting a 3rd property would mean a hefty 10% ABSD. Is it still wise to invest $530k plus on a freehold one bedder (not counting in the stamp duty yet) that can rent for $2k a month?

Dear sir/madam,

Wise or not is subjective to individual perception. What is the Return of Equity or Investment this property that you are considering capable of? Considering that rental of $2000 is not guaranteed, on top of the maintenance costs over the years and property tax.

With the same amount of cash output inclusive of the stamp duty payable, do you have other investment options that can generate similar or better returns? If there is, perhaps it is not so wise for the 3rd property otherwise, it could be good to do so than allowing the money sit in a bank.
