With all the recent changes post election, I am confused, concerned and mostly frustrated.

I am a single PR, 52 years old. I have been a PR for more than 15 years. I would like to buy a HDB because i cant afford a private apartment. However, I keep getting mixed answers.

I am told i cannot buy direct from HDB but CAN buy a HDB on the resale market, but the criteria is
1. i am married to a PR or Singaporean

or

2. I have a family nucleus (siblings and/or parents)

I have neither.

Some people tell me I CAN buy on the resale, regardless of my marital status.

Where does this leave me? Can someone help to clarify please?

Evening,

I would say for your case, your have to be married, in order to purchase a resale HDB unit. Sibling Scheme have being abolished. Buy resales flat for single, are only applicable to Singaporean after the age of 35.
