I am PR and I am looking for a 5rm HDB. But I just found out that I cant buy a HDB because I have a house in my home country which my parents are staying. Adding to the problem, my wife also own a property inherited from her parents. Must we sell both properties in order to purchase a HDB here? Pls advice.

Yes or either way, tranfer the property's name to another party.

Hi there,

As long as both overseas properties are not under both of your names after 6 months from the purchase completion date of resale flat, it will be totally fine.

Yes, you are required to sell your overseas property if you buy a HDB.
