Can single buy HDB Executive Mansionate in resale market? How much is the cheapest price in the market? Do u recommend people to "upgrade" from a smaller house to a bigger house? Many thanks

Good morning,

Will you be using bank or HDB loan for purchase?

If you intend to use HDB loan, you are only eligible to purchase up to a 5RM. This restriction will be applicable if you wish to apply for CPF housing grant as well. Therefore you only can apply bank loan if you wish to purchase an EM.

Yes, a single can buy HDB Executive Mansionate in resale market. Do note, you can only take a bank loan as HDB loan is restricted to 5-room flat or smaller. It depends on the location, condition, floor and facing. The cheapest ones can range from $650,000 ~ $800,000. Generally, it's good to upgrade from a smaller house to bigger house for more space, but it also depends on the desire, finances, life stage, and planning of the person.
