Dear Guru,
Appreciate it if you could assist:-
a) Is it against the law for the lawyer that you have engaged to delay payment to you (refund from CPF)for the legal fees incurred?
b) Whose responsibility is it to ensure proper handover of keys? THe ex-owner claims to have only 1 set of keys, in which the management office states otherwise. My lawyer said that there is nothing much they can do as the law society does not specifically address this. I have had to contact 4 different parties: Management office, Main contractor, Builder supervisor and Supplier of lock in order to get the issue resolve and there could be fees incurred of > SGD1.5K, if the whole lock system is replaced. Please advise who should be bearing this cost, if applicable.
