I signed the OTP for a property paying 1% through my housing agent. Upon search by Lawyer, the man was found bankrupt and the cheque was in wife's name that they encashed immediately. It is been almost a month, my Lawyer sent letter demanding 1% back, the Seller, their agent or their lawyer not co-operative. They are neither able to declare the permission and paper work for selling the property, not they are returning my 1%. Please guide me. I have lodged a police complain and an OA complain also but not gone to the legal path yet.
