Hello me and my boyfriend has difficulties getting BTO and we are looking at resale flat. He is 35 this year and can get his own resale. Is the following allowed? 1. Adding me as an owner after 1-2 years after we get married. 2. After adding me as the owner, can i use my CPF to help my boyfriend to repay the housing loan?

Thank you!

Hi Ms,

Yes, this is possible. As a Single Singaporean above age 35, your boyfriend is free to purchase a HDB resale flat under Single Scheme.

He can add you in as a co-owner of the flat after both of you get married. Once you become the co-owner, you will be able to utilise your CPF to pay for the flat.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi

Yes both procedure is allowed. Do note that your boyfriend are only eligible for singles grant (half the amount of normal first timer grant) when he chooses to purchase a flat by himself. Both of you will be eligible for top up grant where the other half of the grant will be disbursed to you once both of you get married. Top up grant that is disbursed after getting married will be use to reduced the outstanding loan. Alternatively, you may apply to purchase a resale under fiance scheme where full grant will be disbursed at point of purchase and you will be required to solenmise your marriage 3 months after resale completion. I am specialised In HDB transaction. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
