I have handled similar cases before and one of the cases is actually my father-in-law's house. If you were to take out your name then your parents will need to refund all your CPF used plus accrued interests. So this will be one bulk of cash involved. In the event if you still have a loan, your parents will have to bear the remaining loan of the house. If they are not able to bear the loan then that will be another amount of cash needed to clear off the loan. So all in all, you will need to fork out a lot of cash in order to make. your move work.
A more viable option will be sell off your current house and you can get back your CPF used plus accrued interests and the rest of the money can use used to get a smaller unit for your parents. This is not a bad move as it will be easier for your folks to maintain and clean the house if it is a smaller place. Of course this is the theory behind but in order to know if this can work out as said, a detailed financial calculations will be very necessary. Maybe what I can suggest is, we can have a online meetup to discuss about this. No worries about the meetup as there will be no obligations at all.
