Good afternoon,

commission for HDB purchase is 1% of purchase price plus GST.

If you are buying a private purchase, your agent can cobroke and get her share of commission from seller's agent or developer.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

Hi, so does that if buying for HDB resale house is 1 percent plus GST and i cant neogiate with the agent for cobroke to share commision from seller's agent?
Hi,

I would be most glad to assist you further and please feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Have a good day ahead. By the way, if you engage the same agent to help with your purchase of the next HDB flat, then yes commission is payable too.

Hi,

1) You have to understand that an agent is providing services for different transactions; one to buy and one to sell.
2) I also understand that it seems funny that you have engaged an agent but why were there separate charges incurred for 2 services.
3) You can see it when you are buying 2 phones from a service provider. The service provider is not giving one phone for free when you pay for the other.
4) Your agent is charging you at the market rate of 2% to sell and 1% to buy. This is the common rate for any HDB flat transaction.
5) One thing for sure is she is not over-charging you.
6) HDB flat agent does not share commission unlike the private. In fact, it is becoming common now that the agent also charges the buyer for commission in the resale market.
7) Only when the buyer is buying the new launches that the developer is paying for the commission to the agent.

Hope the above answer your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
