I’m intending to buy an approved to sell pre MOP EC (bellewater due to MOP mid of 2022). There’s no resale levy. Will I still be eligible to purchase a 2nd timer BTO in future (of course I understand a cooling period of 30months is still required)

Good afternoon l,

you should clarify this with the hdb branch office. Because you need to fulfill HDB eligibility conditions before you can buy a resale EC with special approval to sell. If you are a BTO owner before, this purchase could be your second purchase directly with HDB.

Hi,

For EC that has received special approval to sell within MOP, typically it is treated like new EC and new EC eligibility conditions need to be fulfilled. You may want to confirm with hdb branch that no resale levy is applicable via written email before purchasing and also your queries.

1) From the info provided you are a 1st timer.
2) Buying this pre-MOP EC means you utilize a chance as a 1st timer.
3) You shall be still entitled to purchase a BTO as a 2nd timer. Do note by then you will be subject to a resale levy of $55k by doing so.
