Hi,
I have recently bought a condominium in the North-East. Within the arranged date of viewing, we placed a deposit for the property and told we had 2 weeks grace to look for a bank loan. However, within the 2 weeks, we had discovered the agent had posted the same unit up. Am I liable to pay a agent's commission after he had 'broke' the contract?
The agent had re-advertised the property up on PropertyGuru within the two weeks of confirmation after We(Buyer) had paid the deposit of the condominium. Now the agent is asking for his commission.
We have evidence (photos) of the re-advertising of the property. Can take him up in court for his mis-conduct?
It was taken note that an offer was made by us, and acceptance was made. The agent had no right should be re-advertise the property and call for other buyers to view the property now that it has been deposited by us.
What can I do in my best interests?
