But she could wait till she is 35 years old and could purchase a hdb flat by herself under single scheme .

Hi Lucy,

1) Buying an HDB flat must fulfill the eligibility criteria spelled by the HDB, and this has nothing to do with the mortgage loan.
2) Since you and your husband already owned HDB and private property, in order for you to join name with your daughter to buy an HDB flat. Both of the properties will have to let go.
3) This properly not the solution you are looking for.
4) So in order for her to buy a property by herself at this age. She can only consider private property which has no eligibility issue.
5) You may assist her by paying the down payment and let her handle the mortgage loan by herself.

Hi Lucy,

She cannot purchase hdb on her sole name as she is not yet 35 years old. She can only purchase hdb with you the parents, but you would be required to sell away all your properties within 6 months after getting the resale HDB.

If you wish to keep your properties, it will be better for her to purchase private property on her sole name. Hope the above clarifies. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

I regret to inform that your daughter is not eligible to purchase a HDB solely till she is 35. She could also not purchase with her parents if they own any other property be it HDB or private. If she proceeds to purchase a HDB with the parents, the parents will be required to sell or dispose off all their residential properties within 6 months from her purchasing a HDB.
