Hi Guru! I would like to seek a clarification on the payment of agent’s fee.
I am a first time buyer looking for an HDB flat in the resale market for about a month now. I did not appointed any housing agent to represent me.
My questions are:
1. In the process of looking for the house, I did contact several agents in response to their advertisement in the newspaper or internet. If the sale process initiated from this scenario, am I responsible to pay for the agent’s fee that I contacted?
2. In several occasion, the particular unit that an housing agent advertised has been sold. Usually, they will offer us to view other potential units. If later on I decided to buy one of those potential unit, am I responsible to pay for the agent’s fee that I contacted?
