My girlfriend has private property and I am over 35 years old.
Should I buy a 2-room flexi or a resale 3-4 room flat given that I'm grossing 6.9k a month? Will there be also repercussions for my HDB when I eventually marry her even though I bought the flat under the single's scheme?

Are you purchasing for own stay or are you looking for potential returns? As long as you purchase before your marriage and meet the MOP, there will be no repercussions. If you get married during your MOP, I have heard of cases where HDB requires the couple to decide which property to keep, while I also understand some were not affected.

Hi,

If you need the place to stay and accommodate your girlfriend and other family members, I think you should go for a resale 4-room, and perhaps work out a rental amount for your girlfriend to contribute to you, since she can rent out her private property. Since you bought the flat on the single scheme before you marry her, you are eligible to keep the HDB on your sole name basis. HDB may or may not need you to add her name into your HDB after marriage, and this is a grey area that HDB assesses on case by case basis.
