The resale transaction has been approved but I intend to cancel it due to the agent attitude. The seller is an agent who represents the estate. What happen when he refuse to cancel it?

Hi,

I would be most glad to assist you further and please feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Have a good day ahead. By the way, once you as a buyer has exercised the option, you can’t back off or you will face the seller suing you.

You have already entered into a legal binding relationship to purchase the property and is legally obliged to complete the transaction, therefore unless HDB rejects this case, you cannot back out of the case, unless seller or seller's agent have misrepresented facts of the property and you were misled into purchasing this property.

This is a huge legal issue where the seller is entitled to claim against you for failing to complete the property transaction and the amount can be much larger than the deposit amount you have paid or potentially larger than the price of the property. Read More

Sorry, i do not quite get what you mean if it will make any difference. Essentially, if you have an agent representing you in this purchase, you should be approaching your agent for professional advise. This is the reason why we encourage buyers to have their own agent in representing them for purchase transaction as they will know better on what are the expectations and also obligations.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience.

As HDB has already approved the transaction, should you insist to abort the case, you may have to face legal consequences should the Seller take legal action against you.

I advise to keep calm and solve any dispute amongst yourselves. It's just not worth it to get yourself embroiled into a legal suit.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
